"My artistic interests revolve around working with expressions, relationships, characters, humor and movements.

I’m constantly trying to spread the artform of dance to the recurring audience of dance but also to the ones who have never seen dance before.  Dance as an artform needs to find new audiences and platforms, that is what my work is about."

 

Felix Skalberg (born 1992) has been working in Sweden since 2014. He grew up in Ljusdal and now resides in Gothenburg. His pieces have been presented at theaters and venues such as Atalante, Spira Kulturhus, Gävle Teater, Borås Stadsteater, 3 Våningen, Träteatern. As a choreographer he has collaborated with and created for Riksteatern, Balettakademien Göteborg, Spira Kulturhus, Swedish National Ballet School, Träteatern. In 2020 he created the commission piece FLOCKEN for Region Gävleborg.  

 

As a dancer, Felix has been working in productions at The Gothenburg Opera, Spira Kulturhus, RegionTeater Väst, Piteå Kammaropera, and 3:e Våningen. He has worked with choreographers such as Sofia Nappi, Gunilla Heilborn, Fotis Nicola, Camilla Ekelöf, Olof Persson, Teresia Björk, and Monica Milocco. 

 

Felix was awarded the Art Scholarship of Gothenburg 2024. He studied at Balettakademien in Gothenburg 2011-2024.
